Don't be fooled by the color, as resistance differs from one brand of fitness equipment to another. Follow my advice on the product sheet or read the description to find out what you can use the elastic for.
Distinguish between elastics that are sold by the meter and those that are "consumables"! They may be tough, but they don't last forever... Perfect for pilates, supple footwork for dancers, but above all for rehabilitation to complement your work at the physiotherapist's, these wide elastic bands come in a range of strengths.
The strength of Sveltus elastic bands per meter is distinguished by three colors:
- yellow: for very light, gentle work without abusing a muscle or tendon that has just been operated on, for example
- green: for slightly more intensive work, always recommended for rehabilitation or for people who need a gentle workout.
- red: I recommend the red elastic band for pilates or for strengthening the dancers' instep, as it offers a lot of resistance and allows you to go further in the exercises.

Beware! There are many counterfeits on the market of the Elastiband© designed and manufactured in France by Sveltus. At Ezabel, I prefer the Multi-Elastiband©, which has the same characteristics but is longer. For most exercises and tall people, it's much more practical.
These canvas elastics also come in a range of kg strengths. The colors don't help you find your way around either: you have to choose according to the weight resistance you want: 10 kg, 15 kg, 20 kg. I recommend the Multi-Elastiband© 10 kg for children (dancers who want to work on flexibility, for example) or for people who aren't very used to muscle work. The Multi-Elastiband© 15 kg is designed for people who are more accustomed to fitness training, or if you work with 2 to 3 kg dumbbells. The Elastiband© 20 kg is recommended for anyone used to bodybuilding and loads of over 10 kg or weight gain.
Compartmentalized, a wide grip on the elastibands offers moderate resistance. The tighter you tighten the grips using the compartments, the greater the resistance.
As a general rule, for the same intensity, canvas elastics offer more resistance than rubber elastics. Designed and renowned for their longevity, you can also wash these elastics in the washing machine.
